At Daytripper Dog Training we teach you how to train your dog. We feel that it’s important for you to develop the skills to teach your dog desired behaviours because, after all, it’s you that lives with your dog. The methods we use are all positive, but don’t confuse that with permissive. Dogs need guidelines and boundaries. Let us help you establish what works best for you and your dog whether it’s your new puppy, your family pet or your canine athlete.

Daytripper Dog Training Daytripper Dog Training has three locations. Our main facility is our outdoor location, which is located in the City of Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, just east of the hamlet of Valentia, at the north end of Lake Scugog. Don't let "Kawartha Lakes" scare you! We're conveniently located just 70 minutes from the DVP and 401, 20 minutes north of Port Perry, 10 minutes southeast of Lindsay and 45 minutes from Peterborough.

We have one fully fenced and gated regulation size ring nestled between our little apple orchard on one side and a small forest on the other, all on five country acres. You'll enjoy the relaxed, cottage-like atmosphere of the property, sitting under the two large shade trees situated near the ring and enjoying the action.

Daytripper Dog Training offers several levels of agility training. In addition, we host fun matches, workshops and AAC sanctioned agility trials. Check out our "Agility Training" page for more details, along with our "Upcoming Events" page.

During the winter months our agility classes move indoors to a lovely, large riding arena in the hamlet of Oakwood. Please email us for more information.

Looking for obedience classes? We offer several levels including Puppy Kinder, Beginner, Intermediate and Rally Obedience. Classes are taught in Blackstock, minutes east of Port Perry, at the Cartwright Township Hall. In addition, we host seminars on dog behaviour and our popular "Raising Canine" puppy seminar.
