Beyond Obedience

Training should create a foundation of skills dogs need to maneuver our weird and wacky human world and should be fun for you and your dog.

I have had Belgian Malinois for most of my life; some have been trained for Search and Rescue (SAR). My newest dog, Zena, stressed over the compulsory obedience component and the pressure was too much for her.

Enter Daytripper Dog Training and concept training using games. The change in Zena was apparent very quickly.

There is a level of obedience required for SAR dogs to be certified through the OPP. The games’ approach to learning has taught Zena all the necessary obedience components in a fun, positive and worry-free format. Through games, Zena has built confidence and grit. Playing games with Zena has bettered my relationship with her and made me a more aware handler.
