With the Mouse Game the “mouse” is a piece of food. The food is a metaphor for a distraction/anything your dog may be interested in.

With Concept Training we train FOR the situation, not IN the situation. By playing this game your dog will learn to CHOOSE to disengage from something they are interested in or worried about, without you telling them what to do. 

TOP TIPS: 

• Let your dog be in the position of their choice.  Do not cue a sit or down. 

• The goal is for your dog to resist the food when it’s uncovered (not ‘caged’). 

• If your dog occasionally beats you to the treat, no worries.  Multiple successful repetitions will far outweigh those scenarios.
