Whether it’s ringing a bell, barking or scratching at the door, teaching a dog to indicate when they need a potty break can backfire, especially if you have a multi-dog home. Why? Because your dog won’t differentiate between potty breaks, laying in the sun, going for a walk, or chasing that pesky squirrel in your yard.  Before you know it, you’ll be up and down like a Jack-in-the-Box.
